Riverside Cottage
Riverside Cottage is in Brendon. It's a Victorian cottage right by the East Lyn river. You can hear the water from the garden.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, one bathroom. It's got a 3 Star rating, so it's comfortable but not luxury. It's got a woodburning stove for chilly evenings. The WiFi works, but it's the countryside, so it's not super fast.
There's a small patio garden with a table. It looks straight at the river. The local pub is a couple of minutes' walk away. They've got a terrace by the water.
You're right on the edge of Exmoor. The walking is excellent straight from the door. For a good day out, the National Trust house at Watersmeet is close by. The trails there are beautiful, with waterfalls.
Lynmouth and Lynton are about four miles away. You can drive, or there's a cliff railway between the two. Lynmouth has a pebble beach and a harbour. Lynton has shops and cafes. The Valley of the Rocks is just west of Lynton. It's a dramatic dry valley right on the coast.
The cottage is in a Dark Sky Reserve, so if it's a clear night, the stars are incredible.
For facilities: there's a washing machine, dishwasher, TV, and the bedding and towels are included. You can bring up to two dogs. There's parking for one car.
