Kitty's Cottage is a two bedroom place right on the main residential street in Girvan. It's a short terrace house, attached on one side. You're about 150 yards from the beach. You can see Ailsa Craig from the front upstairs window.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's comfortable and generally well looked after. There's a small walled garden out the back with a patio.
Girvan itself is a proper working town. It’s got a sandy beach, a promenade, and a harbour. There are a few shops, a couple of supermarkets, and some pubs and takeaways. The leisure centre has a pool if you need it. The local golf course is a short, mixed links course, handy for a quick round.
For a day out, Ayr is about half an hour’s drive up the coast. It's bigger, with more shops and restaurants, and a very long beach. The Burns Birthplace Museum is in Alloway, which is just outside Ayr.
South of here, you can drive down the coast towards Ballantrae. The views of Ailsa Craig and the Mull of Kintyre are good on a clear day. Galloway Forest Park is inland, about thirty minutes away, if you want to go walking.
The facilities are all there. Washing machine, dishwasher, TV, WiFi. Bedding and towels are included. You can bring up to two dogs.
