Harbour View House

Harbour View House is in the town of Girvan, down near the harbour. It's got sea views, you can see Ailsa Craig from the front windows. It's a house on its own, so no shared walls or anything.

It sleeps four, across three bedrooms. There are two bathrooms, which is handy. It's got a 4 Star rating. The place is comfortable and well looked after. It's on the ground floor and has wheelchair access at the entrance, but you'd need to check the specifics inside if mobility is a major concern.

You get a private garden with a hot tub. There's parking on site. It's got a washing machine, WiFi, and bedding is included. One well-behaved dog is allowed.

The harbour and the sea are a couple of minutes' walk away. There's a shop, a few places to eat, and a leisure centre with a pool in the town. The local pub is about a mile up the road.

Ailsa Craig is the big island out in the bay. You can get boat trips from the harbour to see the birds, or go fishing. The Ayrshire Coastal Path runs right along the coast here. Good for walking.

Turnberry and its famous golf course are close by. Further along the coast, Culzean Castle is worth a visit. It's a National Trust for Scotland property up on the cliffs. You can drive down to the seaside towns like Ayr, Prestwick, and Troon in under half an hour.

The train station in Girvan is good if you fancy a day in Glasgow without driving.
