Miners Cottage is in Girvan, on the main street. It's one of a row of old cottages, so it's terraced. You get the back garden to yourselves, which is enclosed. It's a two-up two-down, so two bedrooms and one bathroom upstairs. It sleeps four. It's got a 4 Star rating, so it's comfortable and well equipped.
The cottage is straightforward. The door opens straight into the living room and kitchen. It's all on one level at the back, with the stairs going up from the kitchen. The stairs are cottage stairs, so they're a bit steep and turn at the top.
Girvan beach is a few minutes' walk away. It's sandy and the view out to Ailsa Craig and Arran is good. The sunsets can be really nice. The town has shops, a few places to eat, and a leisure centre with a pool. There's a pub close by. You can get boat trips from the harbour out to Ailsa Craig if you want to see the birds.
Turnberry is about five minutes away by car. The golf course is there, and there's a nice walk along the beach to the lighthouse. From there you can carry on to Maidens and up into the Culzean Castle estate, which is National Trust. The grounds are good for a walk.
If you're driving, Ayr is about fifteen minutes north. The Galloway Forest Park is about forty minutes away if you want proper forest walks, or to try and see the dark sky at night. The Isle of Arran is a ferry from Ardrossan, which is about half an hour's drive.
In terms of stuff, it's got a dishwasher, washing machine, WiFi, and TV. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and highchair if you need them. You can bring one well-behaved dog. There's parking for one car on the street outside.
