Miners Cottage Girvan

Miners Cottage is in Girvan. It's a two-bedroom cottage that sleeps four. The rating is 4 Star, which means it's well kept, clean, and comfortable.

The cottage is just a few minutes' walk from the main beach. It's a big sandy beach with views out to Ailsa Craig and Arran. The sunsets from there are really good. The town has shops, places to eat, and a leisure centre with a pool.

You can walk from the door onto the Ayrshire Coastal Path. The wildlife around here is common, you'll often see seals from the shore, and sometimes otters. Red squirrels are in the woods nearby. Birdwatchers like it.

Facilities in the cottage: there's a washing machine, a dishwasher, and WiFi. Bedding and towels are included. There's an enclosed garden at the back. We allow one well-behaved dog.

Turnberry golf course and resort is about five minutes' drive away. You can also walk from Turnberry beach along to Culzean Castle, which is on the cliffs. That's a National Trust site. National Trust for Scotland: Culzean Castle.

For a day out, you can get the train from Girvan to Ayr or Glasgow. Boat trips go from the harbour out to Ailsa Craig. The islands like Arran are easy for a day trip. The Galloway Forest Park, if you want proper hills and forests, is about 40 minutes by car. Loch Lomond is just over an hour away.
