Pinclanty Cottage is in Pinmore, near Girvan. It’s a detached house at the end of a track, so it’s quiet. You look out over the garden and the river to the hills.
It sleeps six, but that’s across two bedrooms. One bedroom is downstairs. There’s a family bathroom upstairs and a separate shower room downstairs. The utility room is good for muddy boots and drying off a wet dog. We take up to two pets.
The stairs are a bit steep. It's a four star place, so it’s comfortable and well-equipped, but it’s not a show home.
You can walk straight from the door. The beach is about five miles away at Girvan. Girvan has shops, a leisure centre, and you can get boat trips from the harbour out to Ailsa Craig.
The Ayrshire Coastal Path runs through Girvan. It’s good for birdwatching and you can often see seals. The Galloway Forest Park is about 15 minutes’ drive. It’s huge, with lochs and walking trails. It’s also a Dark Sky Park.
For history, Culzean Castle is about a 20 minute drive. It’s on the cliffs and the grounds are worth seeing. Dumfries House, near Cumnock, is about 30 minutes away and has big gardens.
There’s on-site parking, a washing machine, dishwasher, and a woodburning stove. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and highchair if you need them. The garden is enclosed. There’s a BBQ and a patio area at the front.
