Innish Beag

Innish Beag is a cottage just outside the village of Clachan Seil on the Isle of Seil. It's an island, but there's the old Clachan Bridge so you drive straight on. Makes it easy.

It's for two people. One bedroom up in the loft, one bathroom downstairs. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's comfortable and everything works.

The stairs to the loft are steep and a bit tight. Just mind your head. The view from the bedroom window is good, though. You look right out over the sea towards the bridge.

There's a pub about a minute's walk down the road. They do food. The village shop is in Balvicar, a couple of minutes drive. It's well stocked.

You're on the coast, so there are walks straight from the door. The front garden is a decent size if you just want to sit outside. Around the back, there's a bit of a lawn going up the hill and a barbecue tucked away.

If you want to get out on the water, there are boat trips from nearby. Some go through the Corryvreckan whirlpools. There's a nine-hole golf course on the island too.

Oban is about a 25 minute drive for bigger shops or the ferry terminal if you want to go further out. Glencoe and Fort William are within an hour or so for a day out.

It's a good spot for wildlife. We see otters in the bay sometimes. You might see eagles or deer.

Facilities: it has parking, wifi, a TV, a washing machine, and a dishwasher. Bedding and towels are included. You can bring two dogs.

This cottage can be booked with the one next door, Innish, if you're a bigger group.
