Seaview Cottage is on the Isle of Seil, near the village of Ellenabeich. It's a semi-detached place. The name is straightforward, it really does look out to sea.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms and one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating, which is good. It's cosy, not huge, but it's got what you need. There's a multi-fuel stove for heat. The garden is enclosed, which is handy if you've got dogs or kids. You can bring two dogs.
The view is the main thing. It's right on the water, looking west over the Firth of Lorne. You'll see Easdale island and Mull on a clear day. We get seals and dolphins out there sometimes. From the garden, you're a few steps from a slate beach.
The village is a five minute walk. There's a small shop with a post office, a bar that does food, and a slate museum. The passenger ferry to Easdale Island leaves from there too. It's a quiet place.
For a pint, the Tigh-an-Truish pub is just over the bridge at Clachan. That's the famous 'Bridge over the Atlantic'. The village of Balvicar, about three miles away, has a better-stocked shop and a 9-hole golf course.
Oban is about half an hour's drive for bigger shops. From there you can get ferries to the islands. If you want a proper day out, Glencoe and Fort William are within an hour or so.
Boat trips are big here. You can get high-speed Rib trips from nearby that go through the Corryvreckan whirlpool. You'll see a lot of wildlife that way.
For facilities: it's got parking, WiFi, a washing machine, a dishwasher, and a TV. Bedding and towels are included. We've got a cot and a highchair if you need them.
