Degnish Farmhouse is on a working farm at the end of Loch Melfort. The views are sea and islands. It's a detached house, south facing, so it gets the sun.
It sleeps ten. Four bedrooms, three bathrooms. It's got a 5 Star rating. There's underfloor heating and it's been rebuilt to a good standard. The main thing is the windows look out at the views.
The garden is enclosed. There's a covered barbecue area. You're on a 1100-acre farm, so there's plenty of space. You'll see wildlife like otters and seals. You can fish on the estate's loch, and use the tennis court at Ardmaddy Castle, which is a few miles away. The gardens there are free for guests.
The nearest shop and pub are about five miles away in Kilmelford. For a bigger town, Oban is maybe a 30-minute drive north. That's where you get ferries to the islands like Mull. Inveraray Castle and Kilmartin Glen with its old stones are also within easy reach for a day out.
Locally, you can go sea kayaking, sailing, or golf. There are good walks and bike trails right from the house along the coast and through the forest.
For facilities: it has a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, and TV. There's a games room. Bedding and towels are included. You can bring up to three dogs. It's wheelchair accessible with a ground floor wet room and grab rails. There's on-site parking and bike storage. We provide a cot, highchair, and stairgate if you need them.
