This is Queen's View Lodge. It’s in Inchmarlo, just outside Banchory in Aberdeenshire.
It’s a two-storey lodge on the edge of the Inchmarlo Golf Club estate, so it’s quiet and surrounded by trees. The main living area is upstairs. There are French doors that open onto a balcony. You can sit out there with a drink and look over the woodland. It’s a good spot.
Downstairs there are three bedrooms and two bathrooms. It sleeps six. The place has a 4 Star rating, so everything’s in good order and it’s well looked after.
You’re right on the golf course if that’s your thing. There’s a clubhouse and restaurant you can use on site. Banchory is about a fifteen minute walk or a couple of minutes in the car. It has supermarkets, shops, and a few places to eat.
You’re in Royal Deeside here. The River Dee is good for fishing if you have a permit. You can see salmon jumping at the Bridge of Feugh, which is just down the road. For walks, you’ve got the Cairngorms about an hour west. Ballater and Balmoral Castle are about a half hour drive. Glenshee ski centre is just over an hour away.
For facilities, there’s parking right outside, an electric vehicle charger, WiFi, a washing machine, and a dishwasher. Bedding and towels are included. We have a cot and highchair if you need them. One well-behaved dog is welcome.
