West Lodge

West Lodge is in Banchory. It's a small, detached bungalow, so everything's on one level. It's right across the road from the golf course.

It sleeps four in two bedrooms and has one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's comfortable and clean. The garden is enclosed, which is handy if you've got dogs or kids.

There's an open fire in the living room. We leave you some logs to get started. The stairs are steep, but there aren't any here.

You can walk into the town centre in a few minutes. There's a co-op, a couple of bakeries, some pubs and restaurants. The Indian restaurant is good.

For a walk, the Falls of Feugh are about a mile away. You can watch the salmon leaping there. The River Dee walks are closer, just down the hill.

You're on the Castle Trail here. Crathes Castle and its gardens are about a ten minute drive east. Drum Castle is about twenty minutes the other way, towards Aberdeen. Dunnottar Castle is further, about forty minutes south near Stonehaven. It's quite spectacular, right on the cliffs.

Aberdeen is roughly half an hour's drive if you need the city or the airport. It has a beach and a funfair at the seafront.

For the facilities: there's parking for two cars on the drive. The garden has a patio and some furniture. We've got a washing machine, dishwasher, wifi, and a TV. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and a highchair. You can bring up to two dogs.
