Cairn View
Cairn View is up on a hill outside Whitestone. It's a detached lodge. There are two others on the same bit of land, but they're well spaced out so you don't feel on top of each other. You're up in the trees, about eight acres of them. The main view is towards Cairn O'Mount.
It sleeps six. Three bedrooms, two bathrooms, which helps. It's a 4 Star place, so it's comfortable. It's open plan inside, high ceiling in the living area. Big doors open straight out from there onto a deck. You can sit out there and just look at the view. That's the point of it really.
There's a wood burning stove for cooler evenings. All the usual things are here: wifi, TV, dishwasher, washing machine. Bedding is included. There's a cot if you need one. You can bring one dog. Parking is right outside.
The nearest shop and pub are about five miles away in Banchory. Banchory's a good little town for a wander and a bite to eat.
If you're out for the day, you've got Balmoral Castle not far off. Royal Deeside is all around you for walking or cycling. The Cairngorms National Park is right there. Aberdeen is about half an hour's drive if you want a city day for shopping or the theatre.
