Katmoget Cottage
This semi-detached single-story cottage is ideal for a couple for a romantic escape in the countryside. Katmoget Cottage in a quiet rural location dates to the 1700s and has been renovated in 2021 to provide excellent holiday accommodation for a couple.
Bright and welcoming accommodation is beautifully presented throughout and provides an ideal base for couples. The modern well-equipped kitchen with dining table leads to cosy and spacious living room with comfortable seating and adjoining the living room is an attractively presented double bedroom with colour co-ordinated soft furnishings. A bathroom completes the picture. The cottage has its own private garden an ideal spot for alfresco dining or relaxing with a glass of wine and enjoys lovely views across fields to Scotstarvit Tower.
From your front door there are walks and cycle tracks out into the beautiful countryside. The Fife Coastal Route following the shore to quaint fishing villages and sandy coves, and you can join it at any of the coastal village. For golf enthusiasts it is a mere fifteen minutes to St Andrew’s seven golf courses and there is a many local courses within the area.
Ideal for a day out the ancient, historic city of St Andrews is ideal for visiting family at St Andrews University or attending a graduation ceremony. St Andrews has a great selection of places to eat, cafés, bars and restaurants, ice cream parlours, as well as some excellent shopping. The city also boasts two fabulous sandy beaches, a harbour, and many historic buildings.
Nearby Hill of Tarvit Mansion and Falkland Palace and gardens, the latter one of Scotland’s finest Renaissance palaces and steeped in history. Fans of the epic TV series ‘Outlander’ will recognise the location which was used as 1940’s Inverness. Dundee is only a half hour drive away, home to the V&A museum with Scott’s ship ‘RRS Discovery’. There are regular direct trains to the centre of Edinburgh from Cupar. Beach 8 miles.
