Garden View is a charming two-bedroom detached cottage located in the heart of the stunning Backhouse Rossie Estate in Fife. Backhouse Rossie Estate is home to some of the most exciting, rare and beautiful plants, a beautiful walled garden, and is set in a historic landscape where plants and produce are cultivated for you to enjoy during your stay or for you to take home. There is so much to explore and discover in this peaceful oasis. It truly is a beautiful and peaceful setting along with views to the Lomond Hills.
Garden View as well as offering fantastic views of the garden; it has a lovely living room where you can sit back and relax by the wood burner on those colder months. There is a fully fitted modern kitchen with a dining area that seats six. On the first floor, there is the choice of a large kingsize room and one twin room. The main bathroom along the hallway has a bath and an overhead shower and toilet. One of the benefits of choosing to stay in this idealistic setting is a free garden entry ticket for each guest. There is a café where you can go and enjoy breakfast, lunch and tea!
Backhouse Rossie is one of only nine private gardens in Scotland to be awarded Partner Garden Status by The Royal Horticultural Society. Whilst staying here why not explore the wild garlic walk and woodland walk in refreshing dappled shade to discover Covenanters tomb dating from the 1600’s. Enjoy the Backhouse Heritage Daffodils awarded national Collection status. Backhouse at Rossie Estate has a wonderful variety of activities for the whole family, such as the Grass Labyrinth, Bear Walk, Nine Hole Putting, Secret Evergreen Grotto and lots more. Garden View is within easy reach of many popular towns and picturesque villages where you will find plenty of things to see and do. Falkland has many attractions including Falkland Palace, Outlander Trail along with charming village shops and cafés is less then 10 minute drive away.
Visit Collesie one of the cutest little villages in the area. Fife Zoo is just 5 minutes away by car. Looking for even more adventure then head to St. Andrews, a 30minute drive away where you can play on some of the worlds most famous golf course or spend the day shopping whilst enjoying the lovely selection of shops on offer. Dundee is 30minutes’ drive where you will find the V&A Museum, or visit one of the charming, picturesque fishing villages dotted along the East Neuk of Fife coastline. Edinburgh can be reached in under an hour’s drive. Beach 15 miles.
