The Armoury really does fall into our unique and quirky category. A lovingly restored, historic WWI gun emplacement complex situated on a high viewpoint with breath taking panoramic view across the water to Edinburgh, and directly overlooking the iconic Forth Rail Bridge, situated in the charming historic village of North Queensferry.
Set on the lower ground, this WWI armoury has been beautifully decorated in a colourful, industrial chic style. From the lookout post you can enjoy the stunning seaside views and impressive coastal walks. The unique entrance to The Armoury comes with a large outdoor patio area perfect for al fresco dining.
As you enter the property, you come into a fantastic open-plan living, dining and kitchen space. There are two lovely comfortable sofas and a large snooker table that doubles up as the dining table, perfect for working from and enjoying evening meals, along with a small double sofa bed should you have an extra guest come and stay. The wood burner radiates heat throughout The Armoury. At one end of the open-plan living space is a shower room and at the other end a large kingsize bedroom. As this is part of a historical monument, part of the outside is open to the public as they come to view the old canon placement. There is a beautiful garden that is set within the owner’s grounds but has been allocated for guests where they can enjoy the beautiful sea views.
North Queensferry is part of the picturesque Fife Coastal Path.
