If you’re familiar with the Kingdom of Narnia then you’ll appreciate the location of this stunning property just outside the large town of Livingston and the smaller town of West Calder, right in the heart of Scotland’s Central Belt. Upon arrival, the stunning lake within the grounds will prove to be a beautiful welcome to your new home away from home. It’s likely the gardens and the lake will delay your entry to the cottage given that they’re so beautiful, but when you do cross the threshold, you’ll get a real taste of country - living on your own mini-estate.
Within a short drive you can be enjoying some shopping in Livingston, or a little further to Edinburgh. Travel around 30 minutes to the west along the M8 motorway and you’re in Glasgow city centre.
The house itself provides bright, generous, and comfortable accommodation for 9 in the 5 well-presented bedrooms, two of the double bedrooms on the upper floor enjoy their own en-suite bathrooms while the other is served by a shower room. The two remaining bedrooms on the ground floor have a bathroom between them. The living space lends itself being suited more towards a family or 2 smaller families looking to take a break together. The large living room is the perfect place to enjoy each other’s company and make some memories, and there’s a second, smaller living room just off the main one which is ideal for kids or as a chill-out space.
The fabulous country style kitchen is ideal for the prep and cooking of meals, big or small, and has all the appliances, utensils, glassware, and crockery for almost any occasion. The garden grounds are simply stunning and on almost any day the colours reflecting on the water are beautiful given the range of plants and trees surrounding the garden.
