This is Zeezicht. It's our place in Wester Alligin, right on the side of Loch Torridon. The view is the main thing. You look straight out over the loch to the mountains. It never gets old.
It's a detached house. Sleeps six, with three bedrooms and two bathrooms. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's comfortable and well-equipped, but it's a family house up here, not a hotel.
You're about 200 yards from the loch shore. The nearest shop and restaurant are in Diabaig, which is about five miles. The nearest pub is in Alligin, about seven miles. You need to plan for that.
If you like walking, you're in the right spot. You can step out the door. For serious hillwalking, the Torridon hills are right there. For easier stuff, the coastal path is beautiful. The area is good for wildlife. You might see eagles, or deer.
Within a half hour drive, you've got a few options. Gairloch has a golf course. The Inverewe Garden is worth a trip. The road to Applecross is famous, but it's a single track with big climbs. Drive it if you're confident.
For things to do, you can go fishing or take a boat trip. There are places that do kayaking or mountain biking if you want to organise something.
The house has a woodburning stove, which you'll use. There's a dishwasher, washing machine, wifi and TV. The garden is enclosed. Bedding and towels are included. You can bring one dog. There's parking right there.
