Gardeners Cottage

Gardeners Cottage is in Inveralligin, on the Torridon Estate. It's detached, so you're on your own. There are fields and then the loch right there. The view from the front is just the water and the hills.

It sleeps six in three bedrooms. One bathroom. It’s got a 4 Star rating. It's comfortable, not a show home. The living room is big and there’s an open fire. You’ll need to bring or buy logs.

There's a proper lawned garden. It has a hot tub. You can see the loch from it. Parking is right there on the gravel.

The estate is 125 acres. You can walk all through it. There’s a waterfall and pools you can swim in, the Venus Pools. Deer are everywhere. You can bring your own boat or kayak and put it in from the shore. The estate owners live on site if you need anything.

The village of Torridon is two miles down the road. There's a shop and a pub there that does food. For other shops or a petrol station, you'd go to Kinlochewe, which is about eight miles.

You’re right on the edge of the Beinn Eighe nature reserve. The mountains around here, like Liathach, are serious. If you're a walker, it's all right on the doorstep. For a good drive out, Applecross is under an hour. The pass is single track.

Inside, there's a washing machine, Wi-Fi, and a TV. Bedding and towels are included. It’s all on one level so there are no stairs. Sorry, no pets allowed.
