Sunnybank Cottage
This is Sunnybank Cottage, in Inveralligin. It's detached, so no neighbours attached to the walls. The garden is big, fully enclosed, and a bit wild. The views over Loch Torridon are the main thing, really. You can see the mountains from most rooms.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms upstairs and one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's comfortable and well-equipped, not luxury. The stairs are standard for a place this age.
Inside, the living room has a big old fireplace with a wood burner. There's a TV, but you might just watch the loch instead. Upstairs, the double bedroom has traditional wood panelling, painted white. Both bedrooms look out over the water. There's a separate toilet between them.
The kitchen leads out to the garden. There's a shed for bikes or walking gear. The garden gate opens straight onto the shore path. You can walk along there and often see seals. If you go up into the hills, you might see deer or eagles. It's very quiet.
Beulach na Gàradh is the nearest shop, about five miles away in Diabaig. The nearest pub is in Alligin, about seven miles. The Torridon Inn for food is about five miles drive.
For things to do, you're right in the middle of it. The walking routes around Torridon are famous. The National Trust for Scotland looks after the Torridon estate. If you drive for about half an hour, you can get to Gairloch or Shieldaig.
Facilities: it's got a washing machine, dishwasher, wifi, and parking. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot, highchair, and stairgate if you need them. No pets, sorry.
