Buckhood

This is Buckhood in Pearsie. It’s part of the Balnaboth Estate up Glenprosen. A three star rental, so comfortable and clean but not luxurious. It sleeps four in two bedrooms, with one bathroom.

The cottage is detached. You've got your own enclosed garden and patio, plus parking. There's a wood burning stove, which is good for cooler evenings. It's got a washing machine, TV, and we can provide a cot and highchair. You can bring up to two dogs.

The setting is the main thing. You're surrounded by 6000 acres of private estate land. It’s very quiet. You'll see red squirrels, deer, and sometimes otters by the burns. The walks from the door are excellent, through woods and up onto the moor. You can fish on the River Prosen, which runs through the estate.

For shops and pubs, you'll need to drive. Kirriemuir, the nearest proper town, is about nine or ten miles away. It's a nice market town. The Angus coast, with places like Arbroath, is maybe half an hour's drive. Dundee is about forty minutes if you want a city day out. For skiing in winter, Glenshee is roughly thirty minutes away.
