Buckhood

This is Buckhood. It's a detached cottage in Glenprosen village, up in Angus. It's part of the Balnaboth Estate, which is right on the edge of the Cairngorms National Park. You get a full garden to yourself, it's enclosed.

It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, one bathroom. It's got a 3 Star rating, so it's comfortable and clean. There's a woodburning stove for the colder nights, which work well. The water pressure isn't high, it's that rural pressure you get. The wifi is okay for checking emails, but don't expect to stream films on multiple devices.

You're surrounded by estate land. You'll see red squirrels and deer regularly. The River Prosen runs through, fishing is available. The walking from the door is excellent, miles of tracks. You can store bikes if you bring them.

For shops and pubs, you need to drive. Kirriemuir is about nine miles, it's a proper town with what you need. Dundee is under an hour if you want a city day or to visit the V&A. The Angus coast, like Arbroath, is about 40 minutes. For skiing, Glenshee is roughly 30 minutes by car.

Inside, there's a washing machine, TV, parking right outside. Bedding is included. We can provide a cot and highchair. You can bring two dogs.
