The Old Laundry
The Old Laundry is in Glenprosen, up in Angus. It’s a single cottage, part of a little group on a big estate. It was literally the old laundry building for the main house.
It sleeps two. One bedroom, one bathroom. It’s got a 3 Star rating. It’s comfortable and clean. The ceilings are quite low in places because it's an old stone building.
You’re right on the edge of the Cairngorms National Park. The estate land is all around you. You’ll see red squirrels and deer. The River Prosen is nearby. You can fish there if you arrange it beforehand.
It’s very quiet. Kirriemuir is about nine miles for a supermarket. For a proper day out, Dundee is under an hour’s drive. Glenshee for skiing is about 40 minutes, depending on the weather.
The cottage has a woodburning stove, which is good for the evenings. There’s a washing machine. Parking is right outside. You can bring one dog. There’s a cot and highchair if you need them.
