Cullew Bothy is in Dykehead, near Kirriemuir. It's a detached stone cottage on our farm. There are fields with our horses, sheep, and chickens around it. It's quiet.
It sleeps four in two bedrooms. There's one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating. The place is well finished. The wood inside, like the kitchen tops, came from an oak tree that fell down in the grounds.
One bedroom is on the ground floor. The other is upstairs. You get to it by a wrought iron spiral staircase. It's open to the living room below, so it's not private. The stairs are steep and spiral. Just so you know.
There's a wood burner in the main room. The bathroom has a bath and a separate shower. Outside, there's an enclosed garden and a patio with a hot tub. We leave robes for it.
You can bring one dog. There's parking, a washing machine, WiFi, and a TV. Bedding and towels are included. We have a cot and highchair if needed.
For getting out, you can walk straight into Glen Prosen and Glen Clova from here. Kirriemuir is a short drive for shops and places to eat. It's at the edge of the Cairngorms National Park. For skiing in winter, Glenshee is about a half hour drive. The coast around Arbroath and Montrose is about 40 minutes away.
