Burnmouth is in Glenprosen, a few miles past Kirriemuir in Angus. It's detached, right on the bank of the Prosen Water. The garden is peaceful, you can hear the river.
It sleeps four. Two double bedrooms, both with their own bathrooms. That's handy. It's got a 3 Star rating. It's clean and comfortable, not luxurious. There's a multi-fuel burner in the living room. The electricity is included.
You're pretty remote here. The point is to switch off. The TV signal can be patchy and mobile coverage isn't great. It's for an off-grid break. The nearest shop and pub are in Kirriemuir, about nine miles away.
The cottage is on the Balnaboth Estate. There's a lot of land to wander on. You'll see red squirrels and deer. You can fish on the estate river if you arrange it beforehand.
For a proper day out, Glenshee for skiing is about 35 miles. The Angus coast with places like Arbroath is about 40 minutes by car. Dundee is under an hour's drive. The Cairngorms National Park starts just up the glen.
In terms of facilities, there's a washing machine, a cot and highchair if needed, and bedding and towels are included. You can bring up to two dogs. There's parking right outside.
