Cliff Cottage
Cliff Cottage is near Port Appin, up a private track about a mile long. It's detached, so it's just you and the views. The track is fine for normal cars, just a bit bumpy.
It sleeps eight. Four bedrooms, two bathrooms, which helps if you've got a full house. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's been renovated and extended, so it's comfortable and modern inside without being too fancy.
The best thing is the spot. You're about a hundred yards from the sea, looking out over the water. It's very quiet. The garden has a patio with a BBQ. There's a wood burning stove for cooler evenings.
Port Appin village is a walk away, maybe fifteen minutes. There's a pub and a shop. The pub serves food. From Port Appin you can get the ferry over to the Isle of Lismore.
A lot of people come for the restaurants around here, they're very good. Oban is about half an hour's drive south. It's a proper town with a distillery you can tour, and the ferry port for trips to Mull, Iona, and other islands.
Going north, Fort William and Glencoe are within an hour's drive. Ben Nevis is there if you're feeling energetic. Mostly it's a place for being outside: walking, fishing, or just messing about near the water.
Facilities: it has parking, WiFi, a washing machine, a dishwasher. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and highchair. One well-behaved dog is welcome.
