The Dairy at Copper Beeches is a holiday let on our smallholding in Nursted. It’s the old dairy building, so it’s all on one floor. It sleeps four, but it’s one bedroom really. There's a double bed and a sofa bed in the main living space, so it works for a couple with kids, or friends who don't mind sharing.
It's got a 3 Star rating. That means it’s clean and has what you need, but it’s not a hotel. It’s an old building. The ceilings are low in places and the beams are low, so watch your head. It’s warm though, and there’s a wood burner. The water comes from our own borehole, so it’s safe to drink but it’s very hard. We provide a kettle for that.
You’re right in the countryside. The view from the patio is across our paddock and the fields beyond. It’s quiet. You get your own little enclosed patio area with a table. You can bring one dog. We ask that it stays on a lead outside the patio because of our own animals.
Inside, there’s a TV, wifi, a washing machine, and parking right outside. Bedding and towels are included. We’ve got a cot and a highchair if you need them.
For getting out, the South Downs Way is close by for walking. Petersfield is about ten minutes drive for shops and supermarkets. The Queen Elizabeth Country Park is a fifteen minute drive. Good for a proper walk or if the kids want to let off steam. Chichester Harbour and the coast at Emsworth are about half an hour away.
