Pepper Pot Cottage

Pepper Pot Cottage is in Compton, West Sussex. It's at the end of a lane. The building is listed, and the cottage is the middle part of it. It's very quiet here.

It sleeps six. Three bedrooms and one bathroom. It's got a 3 Star rating, so it's comfortable and clean, not luxurious. The stairs are normal, not a problem.

Downstairs there's a living room with an open fire, a kitchen, a twin bedroom, and a toilet. Upstairs there's a king-size bedroom and another twin bedroom, plus the main bathroom.

There's a south-facing garden with a patio, table, and a barbecue. You get the garden to yourselves. The path leading to it continues on to the next property.

A pub is about 70 yards away. There's a village shop and a tea room the same distance. The community tennis court and recreation ground are handy if you've got children.

A bridle path runs right next to the cottage, so you can start a walk or a cycle ride from the gate. You're in the South Downs National Park, so the scenery is good. The South Downs Way is close by for longer walks.

Within about 30 minutes you can drive to Goodwood for the races, Petworth or Midhurst for the towns, or Chichester for the cathedral and shops. The beaches at The Witterings are about a 25 minute drive. Portsmouth, for the historic dockyard or Gunwharf Quays, is under half an hour.

The place has the things you'd expect: a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, TV, cot and highchair. Bedding and towels are included. There's parking on site. You can bring up to two dogs.
