The Plough Shed Compton

The Plough Shed is in Compton. It’s on our family farm, basically at the end of the yard. It’s one of four converted farm buildings, all separate. This one is best for two people.

It’s a four star place, so it’s comfortable and well looked after. You’ve got one bedroom with the bathroom right next to it. Everything’s on the ground floor. There’s a wood burner for colder nights. The kitchen and living area are open plan. You get your own enclosed garden bit out the back, which is handy if you’re bringing dogs.

You’re right in the South Downs National Park. A bridle path starts just down the lane, and that connects to the South Downs Way about two miles up. Good walking from the door.

The village shop and a tea room are a hundred yards away, same as the pub. It does food. Chichester is about ten miles. It’s got the cathedral, the shops, and you can get boat trips from the harbour.

Goodwood and Fontwell racecourses are close by, and Cowdray for polo. You can arrange hawk or falconry days through us if you book it ahead.

For facilities: bedding and towels are included, there’s a washing machine, TV, WiFi, parking right outside. We can provide a cot and highchair. You can bring up to two dogs.
