The Plough Shed
The Plough Shed is one of four cottages converted from old farm buildings on our farm. It sleeps two, and we take dogs. It's got a 4 Star rating, which is about the standard of comfort and finish.
It's all on one level. You come into a kitchen and living area that's open plan. There's a woodburning stove for when it gets chilly. The bedroom is through a door, and it has its own shower room attached.
You're about a hundred yards from the village of Compton here. There's a village shop and a tea room. The pub is the same distance. It serves food.
You're in the South Downs National Park. There's a bridle path right from the property that leads up to the South Downs Way. Good for walking straight from the door. For longer walks or cycling routes, the South Downs National Park site is useful.
Chichester is about ten miles away. That's where you'll find the cathedral, proper shops, and places to eat. Goodwood is nearby for the motor circuit and the horse racing. Fontwell races and polo at Cowdray Park are also close. Portsmouth, with the historic dockyard and Spinnaker Tower, is within half an hour.
In terms of what's here, there's a washing machine, TV, and WiFi. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and a highchair if you need them. Your own enclosed patio area is outside, with parking right by the cottage.
