The Barn is one of four cottages converted from old farm buildings on the family farm. It's in Compton, which is in the South Downs National Park. You're about a hundred yards from the village.
It sleeps eight. There are four bedrooms and two bathrooms. All the bedrooms have en-suite facilities. It's got a 4 Star rating.
A few things to note plainly: the place is open plan downstairs. There's a woodburning stove. There's a wet room on the ground floor. The kitchen worktop by the sink is lowered for wheelchair access, and there are grab rails and a seat in the shower. The entrance is wheelchair accessible too. The stairs have a stairgate fitted.
Compton has a village shop and a tea room. There's also a pub about a hundred yards away.
For walks, you can pick up a bridle path from here that leads to the South Downs Way, which is about two miles away. Chichester is ten miles. It's a historic cathedral town with a harbour where you can get boat trips. Goodwood and Fontwell racecourses are nearby, and Cowdray Park for polo.
Portsmouth, for shopping and the historic dockyard, is within easy reach. We can help arrange hawking or falconry days if you book directly with us beforehand.
In terms of what's here: there's parking on site. The garden is enclosed. We include bedding and towels. There's a washing machine, dishwasher, TV, and WiFi. A cot and highchair are available. You can bring up to three pets.
