The Barn

The Barn is in Compton, on the edge of the South Downs National Park. It's part of a converted farm building, one of four here. You're right by a field, and some of the bedrooms look out over it.

It sleeps eight, in four bedrooms, with two bathrooms. It's a 4 Star place, so it's well equipped and comfortable. It's been set up with wheelchair users in mind. There's a ground floor wet room, grab rails, and the kitchen sink has a lowered section. The garden is enclosed, which is handy.

The village shop and a tea room are about a hundred yards away. There's a pub the same distance. They're both good.

You can walk straight out from the property onto bridle paths. The South Downs Way is about two miles away. Chichester is ten miles. It's a nice old city with a cathedral, shops, and places to eat. The harbour is there for boat trips.

Goodwood is nearby for the motor racing or the horse racing. Fontwell racecourse is close too. If you want a bigger day out, Portsmouth with its historic dockyard is about a forty minute drive.

For facilities, you've got the basics covered: washing machine, dishwasher, woodburning stove, WiFi, TV, and parking right outside. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and highchair. Up to three well-behaved dogs are welcome.
