Barbury Cottage is in Sheet. It's a small village on the edge of Petersfield in Hampshire.
It's an old cottage, so it's got a few quirks. The ceilings are low in places, especially upstairs. Mind your head. The stairs are steep, like most cottages. We've put a stair-gate at the top.
It sleeps four. There are two bedrooms upstairs and a bathroom. One bedroom has a double bed, the other has two singles. The living room has a wood burner. It works well and heats the place up quickly. There's a sofa-bed there too, if you need it.
The back garden is enclosed. It's not huge, but it's private. There's a gate at the bottom that opens straight into a park. That's handy if you've got dogs or kids. There's an outside tap for washing muddy boots or paws.
Just by the back door there's a utility space with a washing machine and a tumble dryer.
The local pub is literally next to the park, about a minute's walk from that garden gate. They do food.
Petersfield is a five minute drive. It's a proper market town with shops and a few restaurants. The train station is there if you need it.
You're right on the edge of the South Downs. Good walking country. The South Downs National Park website has maps and ideas. Queen Elizabeth Country Park is about a 15 minute drive, good for longer walks and cycling.
If you want to go to the coast, the beaches at the Witterings are about half an hour away by car.
The cottage has a 4 Star rating. It's clean and comfortable. We include all bedding and towels. There's a cot and a highchair if you need them. WiFi is included.
We accept up to two well-behaved dogs. There's an extra charge for that.
