Applepips is in Stirling, in the Kings Park area. It's a detached house so you've got your own space. The garden is big and fenced in, which is good if you've got dogs or kids.
It sleeps five. Three bedrooms upstairs: one with a kingsize bed, one double, and one with twin beds. There are two bathrooms, one has a shower. The stairs are normal. You can bring two dogs, but we ask you to bring their own bed.
The main thing inside is the wood burner. It's double sided, so you get the heat in the living room and the dining room at the same time. The kitchen is a good size. There's a sunroom off it which gets the light in the afternoon.
Outside, the garden's got fruit trees – apples and plums – and some strawberry plants. Help yourself if they're fruiting when you're here.
Location is straightforward. Kings Park is about five minutes' walk. There's a play park for children, a golf course, and a cafe there. The views up to the castle are good. There's also a bit of community woodland two minutes away for a quick dog walk.
Stirling town centre is close for shops and places to eat. The castle is the main thing to see. The Wallace Monument and the Bannockburn visitor centre are a short drive away. If you're heading out for the day, Loch Lomond is about half an hour's drive. The Trossachs aren't much further.
For facilities: there's parking for one car on the drive. Washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, TV. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and a highchair.
