Barn Owl Cottage Cambusbarron

Barn Owl Cottage is a house out near Cambusbarron. It's one of a few all in a group overlooking a big private loch. You're about four miles from Stirling, so it's quiet, but it doesn't take long to get into town.

It sleeps four, in two bedrooms, and it's got two bathrooms. One is ensuite. They're done up nicely, it's a comfortable place. It's got a 4 Star rating, which means it's got a few more things than a basic place. There's stuff like bathrobes and decent towels.

The loch is right there. You'll see ospreys fishing in the season. There's a cliff walk that starts from the property itself, which is quite something. The owners are on site if you need anything, and there's a room with books, DVDs and maps you can borrow from.

For getting out, Stirling is the main thing. The castle is huge, and the Wallace Monument is just outside town. The city has all the usual shops and places to eat. If you drive, you can be in Glasgow or Edinburgh in under an hour. Loch Lomond and the National Park are about half an hour away.

Inside, it's got what you'd expect: a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, TV. Parking is right there. They include the bedding and towels. There's a cot and highchair if needed. Sorry, no pets.
