Buzzard Cottages are at Auchenbowie, near Stirling. The main thing is the view. You look out over a big private loch, about 120 acres, with cliffs on the far side. The owners live on site and they see ospreys there regularly. It’s quiet.
It’s a bungalow, so everything’s on one level. That means no stairs. It sleeps four, with two bedrooms and two bathrooms. It’s got a 4 Star rating and it’s well kept. There’s a welcome pack with some basics when you arrive.
You get linen and towels. There’s a washing machine, dishwasher, Wi-Fi, and parking. There’s an honesty room with books, DVDs, and games you can borrow. No pets, sorry.
Location wise, you’re about four miles from Stirling. You can get into the city easily for the castle, shops, or places to eat. There’s a good cliff-top walk that starts right from the cottages.
For days out, the Loch Lomond & The Trossachs National Park is about 20 miles away. Glasgow, Edinburgh, and Perth are all straightforward to get to from the motorway, about 5 miles from here. There are plenty of golf courses around, including Gleneagles which is about 35 minutes away.
