Thistlebank
Thistlebank is a detached house on our farm in High Banton. It's a 4 Star place, which means it's comfortable and well looked after. Being on a farm, the views are out over the fields. It’s quiet up here.
It sleeps six, with three bedrooms and two bathrooms. One of the bathrooms is on the ground floor. There’s a woodburning stove, which is useful, and good WiFi.
The garden is enclosed, so it's fine for dogs. We allow up to two. The patio area gets the sun in the afternoon. Parking is right outside.
You can walk straight out from the house onto the farm tracks. For a proper walk or a cycle, Loch Lomond and The Trossachs National Park is about a 20 minute drive. There are plenty of lochs there for fishing if that's your thing. The local golf course is a five minute drive.
The nearest pub and restaurant are a quarter of a mile down the road in the village. They’re decent. Glasgow is about 30 minutes by car. Stirling and Edinburgh are both under an hour's drive if you want a day in a city.
Inside, it’s all open plan downstairs. There’s a washing machine and a dishwasher. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and a highchair if you need them.
