Osprey Cottage is a bungalow, so it's all on one level. It sleeps two. There's one bedroom and one bathroom with a walk-in shower.
It's in Auchenbowie, just outside Stirling. About four miles from the city centre. The place is quiet, you're looking out over fields. The main view is of a private loch. The owners say ospreys fish there often in season. You can see high cliffs on the far side.
It's got a 4 Star rating. It's well kept. They provide towels, bathrobes, even slippers. There's a welcome pack with a bottle of fizz when you arrive. There's also an honesty room on site with books, DVDs, and games you can borrow.
The owners live on site if you need anything.
Stirling is close for shops, pubs, and restaurants. The castle and the Wallace Monument are the big draws. There are plenty of golf courses around, including Gleneagles about 35 minutes away.
For walking, you can start a cliff-top path right from the cottages. Loch Lomond & The Trossachs National Park is about 20 miles to the west. You can be in Edinburgh, Glasgow, or Perth in under an hour by car if you want a day trip.
Facilities include a dishwasher, washing machine, TV, and WiFi. There's parking. The garden is yours to use. They have a cot and highchair if you need them. No pets.
