The Wee White Cottage
The Wee White Cottage is in Bannockburn, just outside Stirling. It's detached and set back from the road, so it's quiet. From the front you can see the Wallace Monument and a bit of Stirling Castle on the hill.
It sleeps eight. Four bedrooms, all doubles, and two bathrooms. It's got a 4 Star rating. We've renovated it, so it's basically a modern house inside an old cottage shell. The back has been extended out into a big kitchen and dining area.
There's a decent sized garden. We've put a hot tub out there. There's also a games room with a pool table and a sofa bed, which is handy if you've got teenagers who want their own space.
Stirling town centre is about ten minutes in the car. Bannockburn itself, with the visitor centre, is five minutes away. You can easily walk to a couple of local shops and a takeaway.
You're well placed for getting about. Edinburgh, Glasgow, and Loch Lomond are all under an hour's drive. The National Trust for Scotland and Loch Lomond & The Trossachs National Park sites are useful if you're planning trips.
For facilities, it's got the things you'd expect. Washing machine, WiFi, TV, parking for a few cars. Bedding and towels are included. You can bring up to two dogs.
