Wallace View is a bungalow on the edge of Stirling. It's semi-detached. The reason for the name is simple: you can see the Wallace Monument from the back garden. It's right there over the fields.
It sleeps six in three bedrooms, all doubles. There's one bathroom with a bath and a separate shower. Everything is on one level, so no stairs to worry about. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's a spacious, practical sort of house.
You get a decent sized driveway for parking and a private garden to the back. Inside, there's a living room and a kitchen with a dining area. It's got the usual stuff: a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, and all the bedding and towels are provided. No pets allowed.
The location is good for getting around. Stirling itself is a few minutes' drive. You've got the castle, which you really should see. The Wallace Monument is the obvious one, and you can walk to it through the woods from the university if you're up for it.
Within half an hour you can be at Loch Lomond. The Loch Lomond and The Trossachs National Park is the place for walking or a boat trip. There's a golf course nearby if that's your thing.
For a day out, Glasgow is about 40 minutes west. Edinburgh is about 50 minutes east. Both are easy to get to. Useful links for planning: Historic Environment Scotland for the castles, and Visit Scotland for general ideas.
