It's a very quiet, rural spot. You're looking out over farmland. The village of Wingfield is a short walk away. It's got a pub, The Queen's Head. Diss is about three miles away for supermarkets and a train station to London.
If you want to get out, the Suffolk coast is within half an hour. Southwold is a classic seaside town with a pier and beach huts. Dunwich and Walberswick are along the coast too. For walking, the National Trust's Anglesea Abbey is nearby, and the Suffolk Coast & Heaths National Landscape is a short drive away.
Norwich is about 40 minutes by car if you want a city day. They've got a castle, cathedral, and the market.
