Prior Bank
This is Prior Bank. It's a detached cottage in Canonbie, about nine miles north of Carlisle. It's on one level, so no stairs.
The cottage sleeps four. Two bedrooms and one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating, so it's comfortable and well equipped. You can bring two dogs. There's an enclosed garden with a patio, and a decked area that looks right over the River Esk. You get good views of the river and the fields. It's quiet.

Canonbie has a local pub and a shop. There's a public park and riverside paths a short walk away. Fishing is available locally.
You're well placed for getting out. The Galloway Forest Park is about an hour's drive. It's a Dark Sky Park, good for stargazing. The Solway Coast is about 40 minutes away. For history, Caerlaverock Castle is roughly half an hour by car. Gretna Green is about 20 minutes south.
