Baytree Cottage is in Hill Head. It's a two-bedroom house, old coastguard. It's got two bathrooms, which is useful. Sleeps four. You can bring one dog.
It's a four-star place. That means it's comfortable and well looked after. There's a woodburning stove for colder nights. The garden is enclosed, which is good if you've got the dog with you.
The beach is a few minutes walk. It's shingle. You get a good view over the Solent from there. People sail and windsurf from the beach. It's very quiet now, but it was a loading point for D-Day.
There's a pub close by you can walk to. Works for a meal. For a proper shop, you'd drive to Fareham or Gosport.
The Titchfield Haven nature reserve is right there if you like birdwatching. The Solent Way path goes past the cottage if you want a walk along the coast.
Portsmouth is about twenty minutes in the car. You've got the Naval museums and the Historic Dockyard there. You can see the Isle of Wight from the beach, and you can get the hovercraft over from Southsea if you fancy a day trip.
Facilities are all there: dishwasher, washing machine, WiFi, parking. Bedding and towels are included.
