This is Moss Yurt, at Balgowan in Perthshire. It’s a proper glamping set up, which basically means you’re in a big, furnished tent but with proper facilities. It’s detached in its own space.
It says it sleeps six, but all in the one room. There’s a double bed, a double futon and two single futons. The log burner is the main source of heat, and it works well. You get logs for it from the shed. There’s electric sockets, a fan, and a heater too for backup.
The bathroom is separate, in a toilet block nearby. It’s private, just for this yurt. It has a shower cubicle, toilet, sink, and a hair dryer.
Cooking is done outside in the BBQ block. There’s a gas BBQ, a microwave, a kettle and a small fridge. You wash up at a communal sink shared with the next-door yurt.
The place is enclosed and private. There’s a hot tub. You get bedding and towels, there’s a washing machine, parking, and WiFi.
Location wise, it’s rural Perthshire. Balgowan is quiet. For a day out, Pitlochry is about half an hour’s drive. Dunkeld is similar. You’re not far from the Cairngorms National Park for walking. Gleneagles golf is nearby if that’s your thing.
They allow two pets.
