The Cottage is on our farm, just outside Methven village. It's detached, so it's all yours. You get to it via a farm track, which is a bit rough in places but fine for normal cars.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, one bathroom upstairs, and a toilet downstairs. It's got a 4 Star rating. The main bedroom is a good size but it's got a shower cubicle in the corner. It's just there. We find it handy.
The living room leads into a sun room at the back. That opens onto a private patio with a hot tub. The view from there is over our horse paddocks and the fields beyond. It's very quiet.
Something to know: if you come in September, the grain dryer in the big barn next door can run for days on end. It's quite loud. It's just what happens at harvest.
Methven has a shop and a pub, about two miles away. Perth is about a fifteen minute drive. It's a proper town with everything you need. Crieff is close too, maybe twenty minutes.
For days out, Glenturret Distillery in Crieff is the one to visit. Gleneagles is about half an hour by car if you're golfing. For walking, you're right in the middle of Perthshire. National Trust for Scotland has lots of places nearby, like Loch Lomond and The Trossachs about an hour away.
Inside there's a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, and TV. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot, highchair, and stairgate. The entrance is wheelchair accessible. You can bring up to two dogs.
There's parking right outside. The garden is enclosed, so it's safe for kids and dogs.
