The Lodge Cottage Balgowan

The Lodge Cottage is on our farm just outside Balgowan. It’s a detached, stone-built cottage from the 1700s. It looks like what it is. We updated the inside a few years ago so it's comfortable.

It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, one bathroom. Everything's on one level which makes it easy. It’s got a 4 Star rating.

The garden is south facing. You get a good view over the fields from there. It’s enclosed.

The closest shop and pub are about a mile away in Balgowan. Crieff is seven miles. That’s where you’ll find supermarkets and a few shops. The Famous Grouse whisky distillery at Glenturret is there too.

If you like walking or cycling, you're in the right place. Loch Earn is about ten minutes by car for water sports. There’s fishing and golf around. The farm has an equestrian centre next door with cross country jumps. You can arrange riding lessons or even bring your own horse if you sort it with us first.

Perth is about seven miles the other way. It's a proper city with restaurants and shops. For history, Scone Palace and Stirling Castle are both within half an hour’s drive. Edinburgh, Stirling and Glasgow are all within an hour if you want a day trip.

The cottage has parking, a washing machine, a dishwasher, and WiFi. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and highchair. You can bring up to two dogs.
