The Lodge Cottage is on our working farm in Balgowan. It's a detached stone cottage from the 1700s. It's all on one level, which makes it easy.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating. We did it up a few years ago so it's comfortable. The garden is south-facing and enclosed. You look out over the fields.
There's a shop and a pub about a mile away. Crieff is seven miles. It's a proper town with supermarkets, cafes, and a good deli. The Glenturret distillery, which is The Famous Grouse one, is out that way too if you fancy a tour.
You're right in the middle of Perthshire here. Loch Earn is close by for water sports. There's walking and cycling all over. If you ride, the farm has an eventing centre with cross-country courses on the land. You can arrange to bring your own horse or book lessons.
Perth is about seven miles. It's a city so you've got shops, restaurants, and a theatre. For history, Scone Palace is nearby. Stirling Castle and Doune Castle are within about half an hour's drive. Edinburgh and Glasgow are both about an hour if you want a bigger day out.
What's here: parking, wifi, TV, a washing machine, dishwasher. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and highchair. You can bring up to two dogs. The place is family friendly.
