Dovecote Cottage is in Balgowan, which is a hamlet just outside Methven. Technically it's Perthshire. It's a detached stone cottage, so it's just you. The property rating is Four Star.
It sleeps six. Two bedrooms: one double, one twin. There's also a double sofa-bed in the open-plan living area if you need it. One bathroom. The stairs to the bedrooms are a proper cottage staircase, so they're narrow and a bit steep.
The living area has a wood-burning stove. Outside is an enclosed garden with a patio, which is good for dogs. There's a hot tub.
Methven village is a short drive away for a shop and a pub. Perth city is about a fifteen-minute drive. For bigger supermarkets you'd go into Perth.
The area is good for walking. You're not far from the Ochil Hills. Gleneagles Hotel and golf courses are about five miles away if you're into that. The Hermitage near Dunkeld for walking is about half an hour's drive. Scone Palace is about twenty minutes.
Facilities are all there: washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, parking. Bedding and towels are included. You can bring up to two dogs.
If you're planning walks or trips, National Trust for Scotland Perthshire and the Perthshire tourism site have good information.
