Sandy Toes Cottage

Sandy Toes Cottage is in Eastmoor, about halfway between Swaffham and Dereham. It's a detached stone cottage, so it's quiet. The garden at the back is fully enclosed, which is good if you've got kids or dogs. There's a patio and a conservatory.

It sleeps eight. Four bedrooms, two bathrooms, plus a downstairs toilet. The beds are good quality. It's a 4 Star, so it's comfortable and well kitted out.

Inside, it's bigger than you might think from the outside. There's a living room with a wood burner, a separate dining room with another, and a decent sized kitchen with an island. There's also a small reading room off the hallway. The conservatory has a table and chairs, and some fairy lights strung up.

For facilities, you've got pretty much everything: washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, TV, parking for a couple of cars on the drive. Bedding and towels are included. It's Christmas themed in December. You can bring up to two dogs.

The location is good for getting around. You're in proper Norfolk countryside here. The coast at Hunstanton or Wells-next-the-Sea is about a 40 minute drive. For history, you've got Castle Acre and Castle Rising close by, and Sandringham is about half an hour. Norwich is roughly 45 minutes if you need a city day.

The RSPB reserves at Snettisham and Titchwell are on the coast, and Thetford Forest is about a 25 minute drive south. Swaffham has shops and a Tesco. The wind turbine there you can go up if you book it.
