Honey Pots is a detached cottage in Foulden, in the Norfolk countryside. It stands alone in a field, so it's very quiet.
It sleeps six people in three bedrooms. There are two bathrooms, one downstairs. It's got a 5 Star rating, which means it's renovated to a high standard. It was originally built in 1750 as two houses for farm workers. The owners have used a lot of reclaimed materials, including beams from the 1400s.
The main thing is the space. The kitchen is big and has an Aga, plus two separate electric ovens if you're not used to an Aga. There's a dining room, a sitting room with a wood burner, and a porch with chairs. It can feel a bit spread out.
The garden is peaceful. You'll see hares and deer in the fields around it. It's not overlooked.
For facilities, it's well covered. Washing machine, dishwasher, wifi, TV. Bedding and towels are included. There's parking and an electric vehicle charger. One entrance is wheelchair accessible, but the garden and some internal doors might be tricky due to the age of the building.
The nearest shop and pub are about four miles away in Mundford.
For things to do, Thetford Forest is very close for walking or cycling. The National Trust has several properties in Norfolk. The market town of Swaffham is about seven miles. Norwich, Bury St Edmunds, and Ely are all within a 45-minute drive if you want a day out.
No pets allowed.
