Colveston Manor
Colveston Manor is a big 17th century farmhouse on our working farm. It sleeps ten, has five bedrooms and four bathrooms. It's got a 5 Star rating, which means it's well-equipped and comfortable.
The garden is large, fully enclosed, and gets the sun all day. It's south facing. You're at the end of a private drive, surrounded by fields and woods. We have sheep and cattle, and you'll often see deer at the edge of the trees in the evening.
Inside, it's spacious. There are two sitting rooms, one with a wood burner. The kitchen is big enough for everyone. Because it's an old house, the floors are uneven in places and some doorways are low. Just something to be aware of.
The shop, a pub, and a restaurant are about two miles away in Mundford. For a bigger shop, Thetford is a ten-minute drive.
You're right on the edge of Thetford Forest. You can walk or cycle straight from the door. For organised trails, Thetford Forest High Lodge is about a fifteen minute drive. The coast at places like Wells-next-the-Sea or Holkham is under an hour away.
Norwich, Ely, and Cambridge are all within about forty-five minutes if you want a day in a city. The National Trust's Oxburgh Hall is close by, and the ancient flint mines at Grime's Graves are just up the road.
Facilities include all the basics: WiFi, TV, washing machine, dishwasher. Bedding and towels are provided. We have a cot, highchair, and stairgate if you need them. You can bring up to two dogs. There's plenty of parking.
