This is Colveston Manor. It's a big 17th century farmhouse near Mundford, on a working sheep and cattle farm. You come up a long tree-lined drive to get to it. It sleeps ten across five bedrooms, and there are four bathrooms. It's got a 5 Star rating.
The garden is large, enclosed, and gets the sun. You can see the farm’s meadows and woods from there. We get barn owls and deer around at dusk.
Inside, there’s plenty of space. There's a wood burner in the living room. The facilities are what you’d expect: a dishwasher, washing machine, WiFi, and parking. Bedding and towels are included. We can take up to two dogs.
The nearest shop and pub are in Mundford, about two and a half miles away.
You can walk straight out from the house into the fields and woods. Thetford Forest is close by, which is good for walks and cycling. Thetford Forest Park has the High Lodge centre. For a day out, Norwich, Ely, and Cambridge are all within about a 45 minute drive. The north Norfolk coast, places like Holkham or Brancaster, is under an hour away.
