Marshall Cottage
Marshall Cottage is near Santon Downham in Suffolk. It used to be a barn but it's been converted. It's detached. You won't share it with anyone.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, both with their own ensuite shower rooms. That's handy if you're two couples. It's got a 5 Star rating, which means it's well-equipped and comfortable.
The main living space is open plan. Kitchen, dining area, and sitting area all in one room. It's a good size. The garden is enclosed, which is useful. There's a hot tub out there.
Thetford Forest is right on the doorstep for walks or cycling. You can be in the trees in a few minutes. Forestry England Thetford Forest has maps if you want to plan routes.
The nearest shop is about two miles away in Brandon. The pub in Santon Downham is a little over a mile to walk. For a bigger choice, you'd drive to Brandon, Thetford, or Bury St Edmunds. Bury St Edmunds is about a 25 minute drive and has the abbey gardens and a nice town centre. English Heritage Bury St Edmunds Abbey is there if you're interested. Newmarket, for the racing and the National Stud, is about half an hour.
