The Norfolk

The Norfolk is an apartment above my hotel in Brandon. It's got its own private entrance up some steps. It sleeps four, but that's in one big super king bedroom and a sofa bed in the living area. So it's better for a couple or maybe a couple with two kids, depending on their age.

It's a 5 Star place, which means it's modern and everything is good quality. All the bedding and towels are included. The kitchen is well-equipped if you want to cook. There's a dishwasher and a washing machine.

You're a couple of minutes' walk from Brandon high street. There are a few places to eat and drink there. You can also have breakfast at the hotel if you book it. The hotel gardens are next to the apartment building and they go right down to the River Ouse. You can sit there, or fish if you have a license. You can hire rowing boats locally.

Thetford Forest is about an eight minute drive. It's massive. Good for walking, cycling, and they have a Go Ape there for the tree top adventures. There are some nice walks around Santon Downham too. If you golf, there's a course about ten minutes away.

Thetford and Swaffham are market towns about twenty minutes by car. They've got supermarkets and the usual shops. For a bigger trip, Norwich, Cambridge, or Bury St Edmunds are all within about an hour's drive. The north Norfolk coast, with beaches like Hunstanton, is also about an hour away.

Facilities wise: it has private parking, WiFi, a TV, and a walk-in shower. There's no bath. The sofa bed is in the open plan living area. Pets aren't allowed, sorry.
