The Gardens is a studio annex attached to our house on a working farm. It was built in the 1700s but it's been modernised. It's open plan, so it's all one room, and it sleeps two.
The rating is 4 Star. It's clean and comfortable. You park right outside the door.
It’s very quiet here, in Santon Downham. You’ll see pheasants and deer from the window. Thetford Forest starts about a hundred yards up the road. You can walk for miles directly from the gate. The forest is good for cycling too.
The local village doesn't have a shop. The nearest pub is in Brandon, about two and a half miles away. There’s a restaurant there too.
If you want to go further, Thetford is six miles away. Bury St Edmunds is about 15 miles. Norwich and Cambridge are both around 30 minutes by car. The train from Brandon can get you to those places as well.
Facilities are straightforward: there's WiFi, a TV, a shower, and bedding is included. One well-behaved dog is welcome. We’re on a farm, so you’ll need to keep them under control around the livestock.
