The Stilts is a detached house in Bewdley. It's right by the Severn Valley Railway bridge, so you see and hear the steam trains going past. It's a proper feature of the place. If you like trains, you'll love it. If you don't, maybe pack some earplugs for the first night. You get used to it.
It sleeps three. Two bedrooms, one with a double and one with a single. One shower room. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's comfortable and well kept.
The layout is a bit different. You come in on the first floor where the kitchen is. The main living room is on the ground floor, a level below. The bedrooms and shower room are on the lower ground floor. The stairs are fine, but there are quite a few of them between floors.
Bewdley is a nice town on the River Severn. There are pubs and shops a short walk away. The station has a cafe and a gift shop. For a walk, you can go along the river or into the Wyre Forest. The Bewdley Museum is in the old butchers' market buildings.
If you're driving, the West Midlands Safari Park is about ten minutes away. Witley Court is around twenty minutes. The Severn Valley Railway runs up to Bridgnorth from Bewdley station.
Facilities: there's a dishwasher, WiFi, parking for one car, and bedding and towels are included. One well-behaved dog is welcome.
