The Hayloft

The Hayloft is out near Low Hill, just outside Kidderminster. It's down a quiet farm track, so it feels properly in the countryside, but you're in the town for shops in a few minutes by car.

It's a converted barn, detached. Sleeps five in three bedrooms. There are two bathrooms, which is handy. It's got a 4 Star rating, so it's comfortable and well-kept. The main room is open-plan with the kitchen and living area together. There are beams and a wood burner. The stairs up to the bedrooms are the original ones, so they're a bit steeper and narrower than a modern house.

Outside, there's a patio with a table and chairs. You can sit out there with a drink. It's all yours. Parking is right next to the barn.

The facilities are what you'd need. There's a washing machine, a dishwasher, WiFi, and a TV. All the bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and highchair if you need them. No pets, sorry.

There's a pub that does food about a five-minute walk down the lane. Decent for a meal or a pint.

For things to do, you're well placed. The Severn Valley Railway starts in Kidderminster. That's a proper steam train trip to Bridgnorth. The West Midlands Safari Park is about a 15-minute drive. The Black Country Living Museum in Dudley is well worth a day, about half an hour away.

If you like walking, the Malvern Hills are within half an hour. For towns, Worcester with the cathedral is about 20 minutes. Ludlow is maybe 40 minutes for a day out. Birmingham city centre is about 40 minutes by car if you need the train station or shopping.
